The 2022 tennis season came to an end. Tennis fans, around the globe, are harvesting good beliefs for the upcoming tennis year. However, the 25-year-old American tennis player Reilly Opelka also joined the fans to harvest a good thought which might benefit a lot of tennis players. The 25-year-old has played in Grand Slam tournaments throughout the entirety of his career, but he has never advanced past the third round. The tennis player, however, is very outspoken about Wimbledon and the sport’s traditions that he is unfamiliar with.

The Tennis Podcast, on their official Twitter page, shared the biggest question for the upcoming season. It asked Twitter users to share the biggest prediction for the upcoming 2023 season. To that post, Opelka commented, saying, “Everyone will be allowed to play Wimbledon,” with the finger-crossed emoji at the end of the comment. Pointing his prediction towards uplifting the Wimbledon ban on Russian and Bulgarian players, so that the Grand Slam tournament gives every tennis player a clear opportunity to participate and show their skills.

While some fans informed the tennis players to contact the government, “Oh, tell that to the British government Reilly,” and shared their different stands on the Wimbledon decision.

Moreover, before this, back in October, the American tennis player also talked about Wimbledon traditions and how differently he feels about following those traditions.
Opelka takes on Wimbledon traditions
The American sensation has expressed his concern over Wimbledon’s requirement for all-white attire in the past and criticized those who continue to uphold the tradition. He is also quite keen on fashion. The tennis player made it quite obvious that, despite his best efforts, he has come to despise the tradition and Wimbledon. The customs that other sports uphold are not intended for him.
