And if recent updates are to be believed tennis fans have more reasons to cheer because Tashi Duncan is back! But this time she has a bigger arsenal in her tennis kit in the form of 20-time Grand Slam champion, Roger Federer. As the Swiss finished his documentary venture, it seems he has landed another role on the big screen with Zendaya.

Challengers was a hit between both tennis fans and players with even Serena Williams appreciating the actress for her performance, both tennis-wise and acting-wise. Complementing the way the Dune actress captured the realist scenario around tennis, she said, “I think Zendaya captured her character’s tensions really well. I also think it’s kind of great sign when a performance gets under your skin like that.” It wouldn’t surprise anyone if Williams herself is wishing for a part 2 of the movie.

In a recent big update, tennis fans got the whiff of Federer’s return to tennis through a recent clip shared at Zendaya Updates. The 16-second snippet was enough to rile up the hopes of the viewers. In the clip, Zendaya and Federer are seen in the middle of a movie shooting. Federer is seen in tennis attire as he returns Zendaya’s shot.

After the success of Challengers, tennis legends Federer and Serena Williams launched their documentary series. Fans were hoping for more tennis action and it seems that it is in the process! While Federer’s documentary moved fans to tears, as they relived the last 12 days of the star. Serena Williams’ 8-part series is anticipated to revolve around her grit and fighting spirit while divulging the details of what it takes to be the 23-time Grand Slam champion.

And as fans thought that, this was it for tennis on the big screen. Federer and Zendaya dropped a sweet bomb.

This new update has sent fans into a frenzy, as their wishful thinking seems to be coming true. As the two stars were seen around the camera, indulging in some action! And the fans took to X, to share their view about the collaboration. Fictional description for a real game! This is what this fan thought as he tweeted about the movie being a hit among tennis players.

And further becoming a synonym for the sports they said, “It’s actually quite funny that Challengers is such a hit that every tennis player from Coco Gauff to Roger Federer are like yeah this shit rocked. Tashi Duncan feels like one of those fictional athletes that’ll become synonymous with the sport they played.” They are not wrong, as the young tennis star Coco Gauff related with Tashi. She jokingly said, “I told my boyfriend, ‘Thank God you don’t play tennis, because [Tashi Duncan] is right.‘ I would not want to date a scrub on tour.” 

While a fan welcomed the news of “Challengers part 2 fr.” There were fans who were excited about this collaboration and even thought of an alternative career for Federer. Though the Swiss maestro is seen playing with Zendaya in the short clip, his role in the campaign is still unclear, though a fan took it upon himself to define it. They said, “Roger teaching her. This is everything 🥺🥺👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🎾🎾.” This would be welcoming news for the 20-time Grand Slam champion, as he recently opened up about returning to tennis. But was unable to settle upon the role to pick, as he quashed hoped of being a commentator.
