It is truly a dream come true for Stefanos Tsitsipas and Petros Tsitsipas to be playing together at the French Open in the doubles. Having your bother as a part of your team is something that does not come easy. But in tennis, we have had family duos taking on the court a lot of times.

Unfortunately, to the brothers’ duo, the cards did not fall in their favor. Even though the Tsitsipas brothers got to play the doubles together at the French Open, they could not claim the win in their name.

It was kind of a heart breaker match for the Tsitsipas brothers yesterday at the French Open when they lost a match in the third set. Stefanos and Petros played against Marcelo Arevalo and Jean-Julien Rojer. It was a 22-minute-long battle and the Tsitsipas brothers lost in the third set.

The match was not only displeasing for the brothers but also for their fans. Curios about the experience of Stefanos on losing alongside his brother, he told the interviewer, “Trust me, it sucks. To be losing that with your brother, it sucks more than usually. And I had to shift my focus towards singles, but having put in so much effort, in a way, I’m doing this for my brother. I don’t think I would have done this for anyone else. I’m so happy that we get to do this together, because I remember when we were little kids, we wanted to be part of this, like this is our dream, in a way.

Stefanos and Petros share a dream and will do anything to make it come true

As children, when you grow idolizing a sport, you also dream of making your name in it. Well, fortunately for the Tsitsipas, it has worked. They have accomplished a lot in the world of tennis and continue to do so. However, they also have another dream that they wish to achieve. Post his game, Stefanos admitted, “One of our own personal dreams is winning Davis Cup together, I think. Doing that with your brother is probably the most beautiful thing you can witness on a tennis court”.
