It was the night of the finale at the Australian Open 2021 and what a match it turned out to be! Novak Djokovic won his 9th Australian Open title and achieved an astonishing feat.
Facing the World No.4 in Daniil Medvedev in the finals, the Serbian legend defeated him in straight sets. The final scoreline of the match read 7-5, 6-2, 6-2.
Although Daniil Medvedev was on a 20-match winning streak before the finals, he stood nowhere near the World No.1 player.

With this title, Novak Djokovic has achieved a hattrick of titles at the Australian Open and has successfully defended his title yet again.

Australian tennis legend and 11-time Grand Slam winner Rod Laver praised the Serbian legend for his exceptional performance.
“Brilliant work on another Australian title Novak Djokovic, under so much pressure in such difficult times. You continue to show the world what a great champion you are.

Former tennis player Rennae Stubbs also appreciated Djokovic for his brilliant show at the Australian Open 2021. She even referred to him as the ‘King of the AO’.

His opponent and Australian Open 2021 runner-up Daniil Medvedev also appreciated Djokovic and posted a picture with him on Twitter. He even wrote that he was proud of the way he played and will try to improve his game next year.

Djoker’s wife Jelena Djokovic was also quite happy for her husband. She also expressed her happiness on Twitter.
