Can Novak Djokovic's parenting struggles make him more relatable to us regular folks?

After relishing years of extraordinary tennis in the Big 3 era, fans know Novak Djokovic well as a player. The Serb is 24 Grand Slam and two Olympic medals old. And the tennis community has liked and disliked him equally. Moreover, on the cuter side, we have even seen him having a great time with his kids on the court during tournaments. Even playing the violin to fulfill his promise to his daughter. But how would you perceive Djokovic, when he dons his father’s hat off the court with his kids? Fret not, Djokovic himself gave a glimpse of him being the dad.

As the Serb gazes towards the end of his professional journey in a few years, his lifelong journey as a dad has just begun. Djokovic recently opened up about the most common problem that the parents face while raising the kids these days: phones and technology. Djokovic and his wife are not on the same page though, as far as this issue is concerned.

“My children still don’t have a cell phone, my wife and I argue. They complain ‘At school, everyone has one except us”– remarked Djokovic during an interview with Blic TV. Well, every parent can certainly relate to this. Kids want to stand beside their peers, while parents want them to be free of peer pressure. Certainly, not an easy path for anyone.
