Stefanos Tsitsipas has kept his hopes alive for a spot in the ATP Finals after a scintillating victory in the third round of Paris Masters. He’s already going through a fantastic season this year. The world no. 11 has pushed his game to the next level in recent months. But when it comes to performing in Paris, there’s something special that gives him an extra push.
Just a week ago, Tsitsipas was ousted from the Swiss Indoors event after losing to Arthur Fills in the QF. However, he’s managed to make a quick transition after arriving in the City of Light. Whenever he lands in Paris, its romantic vibes affect him differently. Combine that with the occasion of Halloween and you have a great recipe for motivation – at least that seems to be the case with Tsitsipas. In a recent interaction with Tennis Channel, the young tennis sensation revealed how touring Paris during the time of Halloween helps him in delivering remarkable performances.
“Well it aligns perfectly with Halloween and I’m really in the mood to play tennis during that period of time. And this is one of the main reasons I’ve been playing so consistently in Bercy.” He simply credited Halloween with positively impacting his game. Apart from the festive vibes, Stefanos Tsitsipas also gets a kick from the romantic aesthetics of the city at this time of the year.

“I really like the winter in Paris. It brings a certain romance and a nice vibe, so it aligns perfectly with the tennis, but also the sightseeing around Paris. I’ve been enjoying it so far,” he said. After making it to the quarterfinal round of Paris Masters, Stefanos will now face Alexander Zverev on Friday, November 1st.
While his professional life is going at a good pace, the Greek player also makes sure to give adequate time to his off-court commitments. Of course, we are talking about his girlfriend and WTA player Paula Badosa. Despite having a long-distance relationship due to their busy schedules, both of them don’t fail to express their great chemistry.

“My theory is that distance should actually make a relationship better, not worse. In the distance, love, attention, and intimacy should grow. Even more than when you are together. And there are some moments during the season when we play in the same places or spend the breaks together. The relationship with Paula brings me into balance because she is so different from the one with all the other people on the tour,” he said.

Adding further, he revealed that it’s amazing to have a person who has high aspirations like him. It really works for him as Paula motivates him to do better every time. Seems like the two really understand each other in every way possible. Probably that’s the reason why they came back together after a brief split last year.
