Even at Roland Garros, the Austrian failed to live up to the expectations as he was outlasted by Spain’s Pablo Andujar in five sets in the opening round match. As part of his Wimbledon preparation, Thiem decided to play the inaugural Mallorca Championships in Spain, and got his wrist injured during the matchup against Adrian Mannarino.

The same injury forced Dominic Thiem to stay out of contention for the remainder of the ATP season this year. As rehab continues for the Austrian, he joins Tennis Channel to share views and opinions on various matches during the fortnight at the US Open.
