The Swiss tennis legend, Roger Federer, is renowned for more than his unmatched ability on the court. This year, as the Laver Cup plans to enamor fans with its exhilarating contest, Federer is once again at the center of attention. However, this time, it’s for a heartwarming humanitarian gesture. After an exceptional introduction to music with the ‘One-Handed Backhand Boys,’ six years ago, Federer is following an alternate way. The tennis ace has partnered with the David Foster Foundation to make a significant impact on those in need.

The Laver Cup was Roger Federer’s idea, alongside his agent Tony Godsick. They wanted to honor Rod Laver and make a tennis occasion like golf’s Ryder Cup. But before the Laver Cup begins this year, there’s a special event.

Presently in its 6th year, the Laver Cup is adored by tennis fans around the world. Two teams, driven by legends Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe, compete with great intensity: Team Europe versus Team World. It is an occasion that mixes individual and team tennis, making a remarkable fellowship and competition. On the premiere night, there will be an extraordinary service stamping one year since Roger Federer retired from tennis.

On September 21st, they will have an open practice session. An exceptional move about the event is that all the money they get from this event will assist the foundation. The foundation has helped more than 1,400 families with kids who need organ transplants by giving them cash. With his contribution to the David Foster Foundation, Federer shows his commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those less fortunate.

In 2017, three tennis stars, Tommy Haas from Germany, Grigor Dimitrov from Bulgaria, and the Swiss Maestro formed an unlikely musical trio during the Indian Wells Masters.

Haas recently shared interesting details about his musical partnership with Federer

While their singing skills might be questioned, the trio’s rendition of the song was surprisingly enjoyable. It was all thanks, in part, to the assistance of renowned record producer David Foster. During a podcast, Haas revealed that he couldn’t sing the song on his own. Haas jokingly stated that he can only sing those words with Dimitrov and Federer.
