Goran Ivanisevic, coach to World No.2 Novak Djokovic, has identified Jannik Sinner as the player who can potentially disrupt Carlos Alcaraz’s exceptional run at the US Open. Ivanisevic’s observation stems from Sinner’s remarkable skill set and versatility, making him a formidable force on the court.

“Alcaraz is a story by himself, and Sinner is the only one who can threaten him at the US Open, along with Novak,” The game that Sinner has doesn’t match Alcaraz and they have had very interesting matches so far,” said Ivanisevic during his interview with Sportske Novosti, reported by Ubi Tennis.

He further added, “Also, if Medvedev plays well on the day, he is also a phenomenal player for me. Novak remains the only ‘dinosaur’ among those older ones, the rest are all young guys. It’s a normal sequence, but there’s still something to ask the elders.”

While Alcaraz’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric, Sinner presents a unique challenge that could test the Spanish sensation’s prowess. In recent encounters, Alcaraz and Sinner have engaged in captivating battles, showcasing their talent and competitive spirit. Their head-to-head matches have captured the attention of tennis enthusiasts worldwide, leaving fans eagerly anticipating any future face-offs.
