Novak Djokovic’s father, Srdjan Djokovic, has always been a controversial figure in the tennis world. In the past, he criticized both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

In 2013, Srdjan talked a lot about both Federer and Nadal and he received some interesting responses from both camps. When he took a dig at the Spaniard for ruining the friendship with his son, Nadal gave a befitting reply to him, which garnered different reactions from the media.
Rafael Nadal responded to Novak Djokovic’s father’s criticism
Before the Rogers Cup in 2013, Novak Djokovic‘s father Srdjan Djokovic revealed that Nadal dropped his friendship with his son after he started beating the Spaniard more often. According to Srdjan, Novak wanted to continue their friendship, but Nadal’s camp refused to go forward.
When asked about it, Nadal dismissed all these claims, as he said, “Djokovic’s father should talk to his son. My relationship with him has always been very good and it still is. I’ve Lost many games with him, and he with me and have never had any problems.”

Later, at the Rogers Cup in Montreal, Nadal beat the Serb in the semi-finals to perhaps give Djokovic’s father a fitting response.
Nadal and Djokovic could meet each other in the Wimbledon 2022 finals
Nadal has been in sublime form this season, as he has already won the first two Grand Slam titles (Australian Open and French Open) of the year. Interestingly, they met each other for the first time this season at the French Open quarter-finals, where the Spaniard beat the Serb in a four-set thriller.

Now, their path could cross again at the Wimbledon final if they win their respective matches. It is worth noting that Djokovic and Nadal are the no.1 and no.2 seed respectively at this year’s Wimbledon. For the last 2 years, Djokovic showed his tremendous grass-court prowess, as he won the last 2 times here. Meanwhile, Nadal has not won here since the 2010 edition.
However, this is the first time Nadal won the first two Grand Slam titles in his career. Despite the injury concern, he has come to London to win his third Grand Slam title in a row. Nadal will start his campaign against the Argentine Francisco Cerundolo. On the other hand, Djokovic will play Kwon Soon-woo of South Korea in the first match.
