‘She Made Me Work Today’ – Novak Djokovic Ups His Humor Game in Playful Banter With Charlize Theron at Desert Smash 2024

Just when the fans thought that the Desert Smash 2024 couldn’t be more exciting, Novak Djokovic surprised everyone by appearing in the event. The Serbian tennis legend came to support Charlize Theron and her foundation, but he ended up doing a lot more. Having to do more ‘running’ than expected, Djokovic joked about how the South American actress made him ‘work’.

In the event, that is exclusively covered by EssentiallySports, Djokovic jokingly suggested that he had no plans to play, but Charlize Theron eventually made him do so. “I came here to support Charlize. She made me work today,” said Djokovic after a match.

Thus, Novak Djokovic, who is known for his joyous banters, took to the courts as a surprise guest and made everyone dance to his rhythm. While this was not at all expected, he had to gear up for a match and join hands with his doubles partner for an intriguing battle.

While Novak Djokvoic’s participation in the event was only planned at the very last minute, the event organizer made sure that everything went perfectly. Soon after the Djoker’s match was over, he came ahead and made sure to applaud the Serbian for the efforts that he put in just to be here at this event.

Tournament organizer applauds Novak Djokovic for his immense efforts in the last minute

After the Serbian left the court post his tennis match, the tournament organizer came ahead with a message for the Serbian. He revealed how the Serbian star planned everything right at the very last minute and applauded him for his efforts as he managed to make it in time right before the expected arrival time.

“But he has been really wanting to come today and last week we did not think this was going to happen. We got a call from his team this morning and he said, “Listen if we do this it will be about 10 minutes and we need to be on the court at 4:55″. At 4:54 he was walking down the stairs so the team did an incredible job,” said the tournament organizer after the match was over.

Thus, Novak Djokovic, who is all set to play in the upcoming Indian Wells managed to take some time out from his busy schedule and make a special appearance in the match. While he revealed that he came to support Charlize Theron at the event, she made him work as he did not think of playing at all.
