Imagine sitting and watching an interesting final match in an entirely packed stadium and all of a sudden, a lottery ticket lands on your lap, How would that feel? Out of the blue, right? Well, that has exactly been the case with a fan. Coming into the finals of the 2016 French Open where Novak Djokovic played Andy Murray, she seemed to have grabbed the opportunity more than anyone.

In a recent revelation, the iconic tennis racket, that helped Novak Djokovic win the prestigious title is making its way to SCP Auctions. Abby Doherty, a college student back then, decided to put up the Serbian’s tournament-winning racket up for grabs.

In a recent turn of events, a piece of tennis history is set to hit the auction block. Novak Djokovic’s racket, the one he used during the intense 2016 French Open final against Andy Murray, has found its way into the spotlight. After winning the final, Djokovic threw his racket in excitement which landed on a fan’s lap.

Now, she decided to come ahead and auction the racket to give the best buyer a chance to lay his hands on the history. The racket will be available for buying at the SCP auction and according to some platform experts, the racket could surge to a maximum of $100,000.

Thus, the bidders could get to be a part of history as they will try and lay their hands on the prestigious title-winning racket that awarded him the title success in the French Open against Andy Murray in 2016. However, this is not the first time that his racket is being auctioned. Earlier this year, another racket, that helped him reach his first final was up for grabs.

Djokivuc’s first grand slam final racket was out on auction

Novak Djokovic managed to secure his way into the finals of the 2011 Wimbledon and eventually laid his hands on the title by defeating Rafael Nadal. As he won his first title on the grass courts, an excited Novak Djokovic threw his rackets into the crowd and it was caught by a National Health Service ophthalmologist.

She later decided to put the racket into auction. The racket was supposed to grab somewhere near $19,000 in total. Thus, Novak Djokovic’s racket, which helped him create incredible history will allow someone else to get a chance to improve their future, As the racket from the 2016 French Open final goes up for grabs, it will be interesting to see who could possibly lay their hands on it.
