The world number 1 Novak Djokovic proved once again why he is the GOAT as he lifted the Rolex Paris Masters trophy for the 7 time in his extraordinary career. He battled the Bulgarian superstar Grigor Dimitrov in the championship match and after a 3-hour long battle, he came out victorious. Unsurprisingly, his fans are pleased with the outcome and now he is all set to end the season as the world number 1.

He is the only player who has won the title in Bercy 7 times. Not even the other 2 members of the iconic Big 3, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, have won as many titles as the Serb. Recently, after his match, he revealed what sets him apart and keeps him going.

To this, he said, “My goal is to end the season on a high note, on the highest note possible. I’m one of the players who are very motivated to end the season on a high note. With all of the emotion and the energy from the public this week in Paris, every day I find the motivation to play my best tennis in Paris, at Roland Garros, or here in Bercy. May it be the beginning of the year and we can see it with the outcome I had in Australia, but also, I’m very motivated at the end of the year with Bercy here, and you can see the outcome here. So that’s the reason.”

After giving such a tough fight to Djokovic, Dimitrov had expected that he had the skills to win the most significant title of his career to date. Since that did not happen, he got emotional as he sat on the bench contemplating his loss. But Djokovic made sure to console him.
