When it comes to playing the best in tennis, the determining factor is not just limited to making the best serves or creating a perfect strategy. The game also depends on what’s going on inside the player’s head. Recently, a video of Patrick Mouratoglou revealing the real magic behind Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic’s uniqueness came up, captivating the attention of fans.

Mouratoglou explained, “A lot of players don’t believe that they can beat Rafa and Novak at all. Some others think they cannot beat them in a grand slam. So what is impossible to envision is impossible to do, as simple as that. And the champions are able to not foresee any limits within themselves — that’s the big difference.”

As Mouratoglou marked a special kind of thinking as the major win factor behind these legends’ journey, the insight didn’t just enlighten fans with a great analysis, but also made them look at their initial points. To strengthen his analysis, the legendary coach also shared the story of a young boy who made his career out of a winning mindset.

Soon after Patrick Mouratoglou gave out the factor that helps an enthusiast transform into a winning force, he also narrated a story to explain the viability of his analysis. He mentioned, “I always tell the story that when Roger and Rafa were dominating the men’s tour outrageously, I had discussions with most of the top 10 and they were saying to me that it is impossible to win a slam in their mind, and a young guy, 19 years old, suddenly came out and said publicly I’m gonna beat them and this guy was Novak Djokovic.”

Along with mentioning how a winning mindset helped the Serb climb the ladder to success without falling, he also explained how the world saw it at first. “The tennis world said what a shame how this guy can be so cocky? And things like this it’s not cockiness, it’s confidence and he happened to do it not because he said it, but because he deeply believed it, “ he added.
