“I think what impresses me the most is his professionalism, his dedication to the everyday routines that he has to endure in order to play at such a high level…For a young player like this, what we normally would see and expect is he got a couple of good weeks here and there, but the consistency is not there until the young player matures,” added the 17-time Grand Slam winner.

“Has a good mindset”- Novak Djokovic on Jannik Sinner

Djoker emphasized that Sinner is more mature for his age than most players. He feels that Sinner has a great mindset which helps him to play well on any surface.

“With him it’s different. He really has a good mindset. He seems more mature for his age than the rest of the guys with the way he’s playing and training…I think he has an all-around game. He can play equally well on all the surfaces, which he has proven,” concluded the World No. 1 player.

Even though Djokovic was able to defeat the young talent easily, he must have liked his gameplay and approach. Sinner too would have learned a lot from Djoker and will hope to come back strong in the next tournaments.

Novak Djokovic is now in the pre-quarters of the Monte Carlo Masters 2021. The Serbian will next face Dan Evans there and will look forward to sealing his place in the quarters of the tournament. Will Djokovic be able to breach the fortress of Rafael Nadal and conquer Monte Carlo this year?
