After a tough loss to Daniil Medvedev in the US Open finals last month, world no.1 Novak Djokovic has been spending time away from tennis at home with his family and also completing his endorsement commitments.
Djokovic didn’t show interest to compete at the on-going Indian Wells Masters and decided to extend his break further.

Novak Djokovic might make his comeback for the year-end championships in Turin
Even though there are speculations that the Serb might skip the rest of the season to compete directly at the Australian Open next year, it’s more than likely that Djokovic would want a shot at the Paris Masters and year-end championships in Turin.
With the absence of Novak, youngsters like Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and others will have a chance to grab the Indian Wells title. Especially for the Russian, winning the tournament will take him closer to Djokovic’s points.
