Sebastian Korda is riding high in Miami, achieving a significant milestone by becoming the youngest American man since Andy Roddick to reach multiple Miami Open quarterfinals, following a hard-fought victory over Gael Monfils. His girlfriend, Ivana Nedved, was present to witness his success, and Korda acknowledged her support with a romantic post-match gesture, echoing his previous sentiments about her being an “amazing partner.” What was his message to the beautiful lady this time, though?

Korda and Nedved’s relationship dates back to 2021, and throughout that time, Ivana has been a constant source of support for the tennis star. Her enthusiastic presence is a familiar sight at his matches, with her cheers often ringing from the sidelines. She’s now joined him in Miami.

After his win against Monfils in the R16, Korda was spotted scribbling an adorable birthday wish for Ivana on the camera lens. He wrote, “Happy Birthday My Love.” Nedved gave a bright smile after seeing this adorable gesture from his boyfriend. And Ivana’s reaction was concise and clear.

“Worth the wait,” Nedved wrote on her social media while acknowledging his birthday wish.

Upon her arrival in Miami, Nedved shared glimpses of the city’s vibrant atmosphere on her Instagram, including a picture of her eye-catching pink Miu Miu purse that perfectly captured the Miami vibe. Not only Ivana, but even her brother, Pavel Nedved Jr., has been following Sebastian Korda’s matches very closely at the Miami Open.

After Korda’s impressive triumph over the number 10, Stefanos Tsitsipas, in the R32, Pavel, was spotted showering love in one of Korda’s IG posts.

Talking about Korda’s love of his life, do you know Ivana is the daughter of the Czech soccer superstar and the 2003 Ballon d’Or winner, Pavel Nedved? Although she isn’t a professional athlete like Korda, Ivana is still involved in the industry in a different way. How?

What’s your perspective on:

Can Korda's love story with Ivana fuel his success against Djokovic, or is it just a distraction?

Well, according to her LinkedIn profile, she graduated from Gilon Institute of Higher Education with a bachelor’s degree in events, sports, and entertainment with a specialization in luxury brand management. Not only that, she also holds a master’s in international marketing from King’s College and has worked with several big brands like the Italian Olympic Committee and Alpha Romeo. Owing to her connection with sports, Korda once said,

I mean she understands, the best thing is she understands sports which is great. She understands how difficult it is to be a professional athlete and that there’s a lot of sacrifices. I’m very appreciative whenever she comes and we have a lot of fun together, she takes my mind off of tennis and we have fun and can relax and go sightseeing a little bit and just be normal in a way when you’re outside the tennis courts and it’s massive for any athlete just to take their mind off of things and just be fresh and ready to go whenever you go back out there and practice,” Korda said in an interview with Daily Express.

During the 2023 Australian Open, when Korda beat Daniil Medvedev, we saw Ivana couldn’t hold back her tears of joy. In that same year, we saw her sharing a heartfelt note on Korda’s birthday as well. She posted a selfie of them from their Paris Tour and captioned it with, “Happiest birthday to my amore! ❤️. May this next trip around the sun 🌞 be your best one yet ✨🎂🌎💌🍀❤️.

In 2024, she was spotted multiple times at the player’s box during Sebastian Korda’s matches. And when Korda won the doubles title in Madrid, she shared a video of the victory moments and wrote,Big smiles today.” Later that year, when he won the Citi Open, Nedved shared an image on her IG story where she was spotted watching Korda’s winning moment on television as he held the trophy with both hands. She captioned that post with, “One dream at a time.

Even during the Brisbane International this year, Ivana Nedved showcased a sweet gesture of support by sacrificing her sleep to support the American tennis star at the event. She then shared a post with the caption, “4.5 hours of sleep later😁.” Just like Ivana, even Sebi has time and again shown his love and support towards her on multiple occasions.

For instance, when Nedved received backlashes from the crowd during his second-round match at the 2024 French Open, Korda looked a bit furious with all that, and he even took a jibe at the spectators. He said, “Shoutout to the fans behind me for talking inappropriately about my girlfriend, family, and team for 2.5hrs. Thank you for the extra motivation 🙏💪 Still love yall 🇮🇹❤️.

While Sebastian Korda is clearly riding a wave of positive momentum in Miami, fueled by the support of his girlfriend and his recent successes, a potential hurdle looms large ahead of his quarterfinal clash with the formidable Novak Djokovic.

Sebastian Korda updates on his injury after his R16 win against Gael Monfils

Sebastian Korda has played 12 matches this season, and he has won 7 matches out of them. Although he started his 2025 campaign impassively by reaching the final of the Adelaide International, Korda has struggled to deliver after that. After his recent big win against Tsitsipas in Miami, Korda said, “I spent a lot of time off the court due to injuries. I felt that I had lost that inner fire in many matches. So, beating a top 10 player means a lot to me, especially in Miami, one of my favorite places to play.”

He further added, “I was in good form at the ATP Adelaide, but then I had a minor tear, which wasn’t ideal. My main goal is to be healthy again, something I’m achieving because the last two years have been challenging in that regard.” However, he was seen struggling a bit with his wrist yet again in his match against Gael Monfils.

Although he managed to continue this match and came back strongly by dropping the second set to secure the match by 6-4,2-6,6-4, he later confessed that he was in some real pain and currently he is not too sure how his recovery would go from here. Next up for him is the 24-time Grand Slam champion who has an edge of 1-0 in their H2H record! Can he get fully fit before this mega clash against Djokovic?

It’s pretty painful right now, we’ll see how it goes tomorrow,” he said. “Will do a lot of work with my physio now, we’ll see how it is tomorrow. I got pretty negative [after the injury]. Just kind of had to refocus and get positive again. However, he said that it feels great to be in another Masters 1000 QF. For the record, he reached the QF of the Miami Open in 2021.
