Sebastian Korda recently advanced to the semi-finals of the ATP Next Gen Finals 2021. The Rafael Nadal fanboy has played some incredible tennis at the tournament and is yet to lose a match there.
Sebastian Korda is one of the favorites to win the ATP Next Gen Finals this year. However, he will most likely have to beat another rising star in Carlos Alcaraz, in the finals to achieve the feat.

Sebastian Korda reveals he has a cat named after Rafael Nadal
In a recent interview to atptour.com, Korda disclosed that he has two cats and one of them is named after the 20-time Grand Slam winner, Nadal. He stated that he calls him ‘Raffy’.
“I have two cats. One of them is named after Rafael Nadal, what we call him Raffy,” said Korda in the interview.
Those who know about Korda knows that he is a huge fan of Rafa. He admires him to such an extent that he even named his cat after the former World No.1 player.

Korda recalls his first battle against Nadal
In the same interview, Korda remembered his first match against his idol, Nadal. It was at the French Open 2020, where the Spaniard defeated him in straight sets. Even though Korda lost, he highlighted that it was a dream come true for him to play against the iconic star inn Rafa. He even expressed his desire to encounter him in the future as well.

“I played Rafa at Roland Garros and yeah, I think, the first part of the day, I wasn’t really sure what was happening… My dream match was to play against Rafael Nadal at the French Open and to get that opportunity, especially at 20-years-old is a dream come true and hopefully, I could get another shot at him,” added the American player.
