American rising star Sebastian Korda impressed everyone with his amazing skills at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. He managed to reach the pre-quarters of the Grand Slam but, unfortunately, lost to Karen Khachanov there.
Sebastian Korda recently participated at the Citi Open 2021 but didn’t play well there. As a result, Jannik Sinner thrashed him in straight sets in the pre-quarters.

There is some more bad news coming for the fans of Korda. It looks like the 21-year-old is not fully fit right now and thus, decided to withdraw from the National Bank Open 2021 at the very last moment.

Fans had huge expectations from Korda at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament. The Rafael Nadal fanboy was gaining his form and could have been a dangerous player in Toronto.

Frances Tiafoe will take the place of Sebastian Korda at the National Bank Open 2021
Korda’s compatriot, Frances Tiafoe, will now play at his place at the National Bank Open 2021. He will face Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round of the tournament.

Korda has had quite a decent season this year. He reached the quarters of the Miami Open 2021 and played some really amazing tennis there. He even has won a title as he didn’t drop a single set at the ATP Parma Open 2021.
The French Open 2021 turned out to be a nightmare for him as he got eliminated in the very first tournament. However, he bounced back and gave some pretty good performances in the grass-court season.

Fans hope that Sebastian Korda recovers soon and returns to the court quickly. They believe that he has a bright future and can carry forward the legacy of the ‘Big Three’. Will he be able to succeed at the US Open 2021?
