The American tennis player, Nicolas Moreno De Alboran, ranked No. 311 worldwide, was disqualified from the current Sevilla Challenger. Federico Delbonis, one of his opponents, complained to the tournament organizers about his improper conduct, which led to his elimination.
The unfortunate end to the tennis game that no one expected
This was not what Nicolas Moreno de Alboran expected from a visit to Seville. The 25-year-old was eliminated from an ATP Tour competition due to taking a shower during a break.

Later on Instagram, Alboran posted the following statement which stated, “On one of them sand got inside my underwear. When I saw that I couldn’t get the sand off with the towel since I was sweating so much. I decided to use the shower handle to only rinse the sand off.”
He further wrote, “My opponent told the umpire that came to the bathroom with us with us that I had taken a shower. The tournament referee then proceeded to default me from the tournament.“
The event occurred with the score tied at one set apiece in the first round of the clay court tournament. Although Delbonis took the first set 7-5, Alboran took the second set with a score of 7-6 on a tie-break that went to a final score of 8-6.
