Andy Murray is one of the most entertaining players to turn up in the last decade of tennis. After much effort, he broke the spell of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic as they demolished Grand Slams. However, his dominant era could not last for long because of constant injuries. Now, Murray is not able to sustain his old position at the top of the table.

His confidence has been struck to some extent as he made a saddening comparison between his retirement and those of Rafa, Federer and Serena Williams. But his fans were there to back him up all the way.

Interviewing with BBC 5, Murray stated that tennis fans wouldn’t come to see his farewell tour the way they did for Federer and Williams and would do for Nadal. He said that everyone would want to see them play one last time, but the situation would not be the same for him. His words saddened his fans and they rushed to tell him that they would all be there to celebrate his legendary career during his farewell.

One fan said that Murray underestimates the love his fans and the world of tennis have for him. They further said that people would turn up in masses to watch his final tour.

One fan of the Briton called him one of the GOATs of tennis and also mentioned his key role in creating the Big 4.

Another fan of his said that they would turn up for him as he is a legend and a hero to them.

Yet another fan declared they would be there, adding that they would be buying the front-row tickets for him.

Another fan said that Andy Murray is no less that a hall of famer.

While Murray made a devastating comparison which made his fans rush to boost his confidence, the Briton currently has no plans to hang up the racket.

Family man Murray plays despite many difficulties

For Andy Murray, family is just as important as his tennis career. The Briton has four children and finds it difficult to travel around the world for the sport. In an interview with Daily Mail, Murray said that his body’s old, but he still loves the nitty-gritty of tennis. The difficult part for him is leaving his family and travel far away, but he will continue to do it as long as he feels he can.

In the twilight of his career and not in his best shape due to many reasons, Murray still plays tennis with the same panache he possessed when he was healthier.
