The 26-year-old, on being exposed to a question about a specific point of motivation, took a long pause thoughtfully before naming the Oscar-winning film ‘Hacksaw Ridge’. The movie starring Andrew Garfield came out to be a significant influence on his mindset, as he revealed the details about his admiration.

Rublev, expressing his admiration for the movie’s protagonist Doss’ firm decision, explained his derived narrative. “This movie inspired me a lot because you don’t really find people where, first of all, from your side they are trying to force you to fight and he went against his own people to say, ‘No I’m not going to fight, I will help and heal,’ and then even the people they were going against, he was still helping some of them,” he expressed.

Directed by Mel Gibson, ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ is based on a World War II saga of American army medic Desmond T. Doss.
