However, at the moment, it seems like he has finally found the one. Boris Becker, who has already trained the likes of Novak Djokovic and was a 6-time grand slam winner is supposed to be the next head coach for Rune.

In an exclusive statement to Eurosport Germany’s podcast, tennis legend Boris Becker officially confirmed his role as the coach of emerging talent Holger Rune. Becker recently dubbed Rune a “rough diamond,” reflecting his belief in the young player’s potential.

Becker’s coaching journey, which includes mentoring Novak Djokovic, has equipped him to appreciate the value of players who exhibit emotional intensity on the court. “Holger is a rough diamond that needs polishing. I like his emotional outbursts. I have coached a player before, Novak Djokovic, who was sometimes not quite himself on the court, but that is allowed,” said Becker while lauding the qualities that he has.

Rune reflects on how he and Becker are going ahead
