Meanwhile, the Swiss maestro has been quite involved in the sport even after his retirement. He often attends tennis matches and also regularly comments on this matter. During an interview a few months back, he got candid on his post-retirement life.

Roger Federer feels ‘at peace’ after quitting tennis

While many rumors spread about Federer’s potential comeback to the sport, he put it to rest during a conversation with GQ earlier this year. Reality struck him hard as he made a candid revelation about his potential comeback, saying, “I don’t miss it. I really don’t. I feel really at peace.”

Further, he went on to add, “I think it’s also because I know that my knee and my body and my mind don’t allow me to be out there. Do I feel like, Oh, I could hit that shot? Yeah, okay: Maybe I could right now. But I feel like I squeezed the lemon out. I tried everything I had. And I’m so at peace.”

While many fans would have desired Federer’s dream comeback, the Swiss maestro will only take to the court to play with his family. Although the competitive drive within hasn’t died down, the physical side of things won’t allow him to return competitively, given his age. Thus, he is better off without competitive tennis now and wants to spend quality time with his family.
