Recently, the former world no.1 was spotted posing with the renowned South Korean girl group Blackpink.
Consequently, not just the K-pop realm but the tennis community also went into a frenzy after witnessing Federer with the girl group quartet. Even the American tennis star, Coco Gauff, was quite amused to see the Swiss Maestro with the K-pop band while she wondered if he would have officially joined the fandom, BLINK. The Swiss tennis legend’s photo broke the internet as he met with K-pop members Jennie Kim, Lalisa Manobal, Jisoo, and Rose. Roger Federer was in Paris where the South Korean girl group was also featured in the Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes concert. During the musical charity event, the 20-time singles Grand Slam champion met the quartet while he also clicked a picture with them.

Later, the former world No. 1 shared the iconic moment on his social media after his children persuaded him to post that picture with one of the most popular K-pop bands, Blackpink. In light of that picture, a slew of fans were quite intrigued to know if Federer has officially become a BLINK (the official fandom name for Blackpink). Even the American tennis sensation, Coco Gauff, joined the others in expressing her curiosity over the Swiss Maestro’s latest social media post.
Notably, she commented, “blink????,” to ask Federer if he is the latest addition to the South Korean pop group fandom. The Canadian tennis star, Denis Shapovalov, also joined the others in the comments section as he commented, “Hahaha yessss”
What was Federer doing in Paris?
In addition to meeting the K-pop girl group at the event, Federer, in his dapper appearance, caught the attention of the fans during the Haute couture fashion show in Paris. His wife, Mirka, was also there with him while donning a ‘GOAT’ outfit during the renowned fashion show.
Federer rocked an all-black look for the Paris Fashion Week. Along with the Swiss Maestro, there were a number of celebrity attendees, including Anna Wintour, Baz Luhrmann, and Catherine Martin.
