Tennis stars have a ton of things to look after other than their play. Starting from the racquets they use to the shoes they wear, everything becomes a part of their wins and losses. So they must be mindful of choosing what goes with them and on them to the court. Each player favors different brands of racquets, and reasons vary from luck to comfort.
Roger Federer has always been loyal to the brand ‘Wilson Racquets.’ He changed the brand’s models and used a customized one. The brand took a new initiative as the official partner of 2023 Roland Garros and revealed key aspects of the signed deed through its official Instagram account.

Wilson racquets have been catering to the needs of players since 1913. Eighty-five years after its inception, Federer started his professional Tennis career with Wilson and never looked back. He has won his twenty Grand Slam titles with it and emerged as the God of Tennis.
Federer and his wife, Mirka Federer, actively donate to charity under his ‘Roger Federer Foundation.’ His foundation is committed to educating the underprivileged in Switzerland and in Africa. They personally donated more than a million dollars to vulnerable families in Switzerland, to name a few. Now his racquet brand Wilson is also determined to help the cause of the climate crisis.
Wilson has committed itself to serve the environment by donating one euro for each stringing service. This is to contribute to the initiative taken by the French National Forests Office reforestation project of La Madone State Forest. Wilson collaborated with ‘Fédération Française de Tennis’ to take the project forward.
Wilson did it without compromising on anything
A member of the Wilson company said, “As the official stringer of Roland Garros, Wilson will string thousands of racquets for the players. For each racquet we string, we are gonna donate one euro to help regenerate the forests affected by climate change in the south of France.”

Another member said, “If you string quick but not good, it’s useless. If you strink quick but you can’t keep up the rythm during fifteen days it’s useless. What we need above is the same quality of work all day long.”

Wilson produced 6,684 racquets without compromising on quality and time. It has done more than it has pledged (5000) to do, and the reforestation can take place without any hassle. All thanks to Wilson and the Tennis Federation of France for making it happen and adding more life to nature.
