However, even after Roger Federer‘s retirement, the debate still surrounds him, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal.

Serena Williams’ former coach Patrick Mouratoglou has always stayed active in presenting his POVs from different angles. Keeping this in his own way, the renowned coach recently passed a candid statement, secretly announcing his tennis GOAT.

Patrick Mouratoglou, former coach of tennis legend Serena Williams, has always been known to keep his social media game up. In a recent tweet, the renowned coach took his chance to appreciate Roger Federer’s unmatchable elegance. However, as he continued his statement, the conclusion gave out the fact that the tweet was not really about praising Federer.

Amid the discussions of who holds the title of the Greatest of All Time (GOAT), Mouratoglou marked sports achievements as the deciding factor. “Roger’s elegance and unmatched tennis brilliance are beyond doubt. When it comes to the GOAT debate, sports achievements are the only measure that truly matters,” Mouratoglou stated.

Mouratoglou’s tweet left tennis fans speculating as he indirectly announced Novak Djokovic as his GOAT choice. However, this wasn’t the first time that Mouratoglou gave hints of his admiration for the Serbian tennis legend.

Besides his indirect statement of choosing Novak Djokovic as the GOAT of tennis, he has also been open about his thoughts on the Serb. In a recent statement, the renowned coach appreciated the world no.1, saying, “I haven’t seen ever a player of 36 years old that is in that shape. The fact that he’s incredibly serious and focused made him become the best athlete because I think he’s the best athlete.”

Along with speaking highly of Nole’s prowess, he also shared his belief that the ongoing reign will go beyond the 40’s for the Serb. “I still think that he can go over 40. I’m not saying he’s gonna do it because it’s all also about motivation,” he added. While the tennis star made a prediction that can surely crown Djokovic as the best, it still remains to be seen if the Serb could live up to the expectations of the coach.
