Andrey Rublev is all set to lock horns with his Australian colleague Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinals of the ATP Rotterdam Open. The high-profile matchup between the ATP superstars has now promoted the former tennis ace Roger Federer to prove his hardcore connection with the racket game.
Even though he has moved away from the tennis circuit, the 20-time singles Grand Slam champion is still keeping tabs on a number of games on the tour. While providing his pre-match analysis of the blockbuster encounter between Rublev and De Minaur, the Swiss maestro correctly stunned fans with his correct answer to a difficult trivia question.

“If Alex de Minaur had defeated Andrey Rublev….”- Roger Federer on the Rotterdam Open quarterfinal match

Stefanos Tsitsipas, who once established himself in the number 3 spot, is now on the verge of dropping out of the top 10 rankings on the ATP Tour. If Alex de Minaur manages to prevail in his Rotterdam Open quarterfinal match against Andrey Rublev, the currently 10th-ranked Greek tennis star will move out of the top spots after a considerable period.

Taking note of the same, Roger Federer said, “If Alex de Minaur had defeated Andrey Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas would have moved out of the top ten.” It further prompted the 20-time singles Grand Slam champion to ask trivia questions as he shed light on the aftermaths of Tsitsipas dropping out of the top ten rankings.

The Swiss maestro’s conversation in a video call interview was recently brought to light on Twitter by a fan. The user tweeted, “All of a sudden Roger asks, he always asks trivia questions: ‘If this guy loses, do you know what that means ?’ I had no idea. He said: ‘If he loses here, for the first time there will be no player with a one-handed backhand in the top ten.’ Who was it, Roger ?”
