The Euro Cup 2021 is going on and fans have witnessed many upsets till now. The biggest of them was when Switzerland defeated World champions France in the pre-quarters of the tournament. Many Swiss athletes including Roger Federer congratulated the Swiss Football team after their incredible feat.
In the quarters, Switzerland is playing against Euro Champions of 2008 and 2012, Spain. It is evident that 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer is watching the match and there was a moment that really made the Swiss Maestro angry.
Spain took the early lead but Switzerland’s Shaqiri equalized the scoreline at 1-1 soon. However, after this, the referee gave a controversial decision that made many Swiss fans frustrated including Federer. As a result, he tweeted two ‘angry emojis’ with the scoreline 1-1.

The referee gave the red card to Switzerland’s Remo Freuler when he attempted to make a tackle on Spain’s Gerard Moreno. Many believe that a yellow card was enough and the referee was a little bit too harsh towards the Swiss who assisted the first goal. It can be one of the reasons why Switzerland ultimately lost to Spain in the penalty shoot-out.

Roger Federer gets off to an ideal start at the Wimbledon Championships 2021
Federer has enjoyed a good start at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. The Swiss legend defeated Adrain Mannarino in the first round and then thrashed Richard Gasquet in straight sets in the second round.

After making a comeback on the court after about 17 months, Federer has surely impressed his fans. They were a bit disappointed after his performance at the Halle Open 2021 but believe that he can surely bounce back.
The Swiss maestro will next face Cameron Norrie in the third round of the Grand Slam tomorrow. The British player was the runner-up of the Queen’s Club Championships 2021 and will surely prove to be a big threat to Federer. Will Federer be able to win his 21st Grand Slam title in London this year?
