With “Federer: Twelve Final Days” getting ready to stream on Amazon Prime Video, the Swiss legend is in New York for the premiere of his much-awaited documentary series. In the midst of this bustling event, he happened to run across Anna Wintour, a familiar face who had come to support the 42-year-old tennis legend and his latest pursuit.

The 74-year-old British editor recently took some time out to attend the “Federer: Twelve Final Days” Prime Video Special Screening at The Whitby Hotel in New York City. Together with Anna Wintour, the 42-year-old tennis legend’s appearance highlighted the convergence of fashion and sport in the world of professional athletics and brought an additional level of glitz and excitement to the screening.

Well, Anna Wintour has been a great supportive friend to Federer since 2005 when they first met in the summer of 2005. Federer “had no idea who she was” when they met. However, Wintour has always been a huge fan of Federer. So, of course, meeting Anna Wintour at this screening got Federer the support that a BFF can only offer.

Subsequently, in a dark-colored shirt to go with his black suit, Federer looked dapper. The chief fashion editor of Vogue, looked stunning next to him, showcasing her great sense of style. Wintour emphasized her unique style with a long jacket decorated with vibrant pink and blue tones. She made a statement at the event with her sophisticated and glamorous attire, which she paired with classic black glasses.

Federer spoke to the crowd from the stage, offering his observations on the documentary’s creation. The 20-time Grand Slam champion gave an impassioned speech on his last days on the court, giving viewers a peek at the series’ dramatic journey during the same screening.

In addition, the former world number one appeared as a guest on NBC’s Access Hollywood, which increased interest in his documentary and gave fans a better grasp of his illustrious career and retirement path.

In a write-up, Wintour said, “I have flown across the world for his tournaments; I’ve endured agony when he’s been a set down and ecstasy when he’s stormed back; I have even missed more than the occasional fashion show—all for the privilege of witnessing Roger play what is surely the greatest tennis of all time.” In addition, last year, the 20-time Grand Slam champion also co-chaired the Met Gala, with Wintour and other famous personalities.

Still, it will be intriguing to watch what the incredible docuseries—which features exclusive interviews with Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic—becomes.
