Apparently, Djokovic’s arch-rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, previously managed to raise an amount through an exhibition event, which is more than the Serb did at this season’s US Open. Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer’s fierce rivalry has graced the men’s tour during the golden era of tennis. Back in February 2020, the ATP Legends locked horns in the largest exhibition match in tennis history for a noble cause. Around 51,940 spectators were there in the stadium to witness the two tennis greats playing for the education initiative launched by the Roger Federer Foundation.

The exhibition event featuring Nadal and Federer’ raised 3.5 million USD for an early education program previously announced by the Swiss maestro at the UN assembly. On social media, a tennis fan brought to light the intriguing details of the historic tennis match.

The user tweeted, “Did you know The largest match in tennis history was Nadal and Federer in February 2020 when 51 940 attended. It raised 3.5 million USD for the Roger Federer Foundation on early education 2 700 000 have benefitted from the Foundation and Roger spoke at the UN assembly ✅”

With their epic clash at a historic exhibition match, Federer and Nadal managed to raise a whopping 3.5 million USD. Surprisingly, it is more than the prize money of $3 million that Novak Djokovic received after defeating the former champion, Daniil Medvedev, at the Grand Slam event in New York.
