Team Europe defeated Team World in the fourth edition of the Laver Cup, continuing their dominance in the event and taking the overall scoreline to 4-0. The team in blue’s emphatic victory came despite the absence of two legends, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The iconic duo congratulated Team Europe on their 4th consecutive victory.
As the mind behind this event, the Swiss maestro also praised the crowd and the competition in Boston. He even gave a surprise visit on the first day and added glamour to the tournament.

Notably, Team Europe registered their biggest win over Team World, with the final score reading 14-1.
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s messages for Team Europe on Laver Cup 2021 success
Last year, the Laver Cup did not take place due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Hence, this year was doubly special for those who adore this event. The only missing part was Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal‘s Laver Cup moments.
Despite missing the tournament, they both watched it. And the on-court rivals are both delighted by the results.
Federer said, “I hope everybody had a wonderful time following on social media or in the stadium. I thought the crowd was absolutely incredible. Also, the matches were good. They were close, but in the end, Team Europe got it done. So, of course, I was personally very happy, but I was just happy watching great quality of tennis, and I hope you did too.”

Furthermore, Nadal shared a picture of Team Europe with the trophy on his Instagram story. He wrote, “Well done, Team Europe. #LaverCup.”
Naturally, fans will now hope to see Federer and Nadal next year in Laver Cup London 2022. It would indeed make it even more challenging for Team World to find their first title in this three-day event.

When will Federer and Nadal return to the tennis tour?
Federer and Nadal had to conclude their 2021 seasons prematurely due to injuries to their knee and foot, respectively. But, the good news is that they are both progressing will with their recoveries and are looking forward to returning next year.
