After a disappointing performance at the Italian Open, Rafael Nadal was quite unsure about his future in playing in the Roland Garros. Having won the title 14 times already, the Spanish player, who once dominated the Parisian clay courts did not make any official statement and suggested it will be decided in the upcoming days on whether he would have the will to participate in the event or not.
But, the recent reports coming out of Europe suggest that there has been some development over the Spanish player’s final decision to play in Paris. Apparently, he is currently in Manacor and is training in the Rafa Nadal academy. if the reports are true, he will train in the academy and will then be heading straight to Paris to take part in what could be his last event on the clay court this year.

The French Open, which is supposed to start on the 26th of May will go on till the 9th of June. Thus, Rafael Nadal, who is practising in his academy could soon look to make his return to tennis yet again in Paris. This news will mean a lot to his fans who were previously doubtful of the 22-time grand slam champion’s presence in the event.

A few days earlier, Rafael Nadal, in an interview came ahead and suggested that he is not sure whether his body will allow him to take part in the upcoming event where he’s found most glory. He further added that if there was even a chance that his body would not allow him to compete at the event then he would not take part for sure.

“I don’t know if I’m going to be competitive at Roland Garros. I’m going to go out and play the tournament thinking that I can give my all , that I can play at my 100%; And if my body is not there to win any game, then accept it, but not go out on the court knowing that I have no option,” Rafa said in the interview.
