Andre Agassi opened up about the role of God

Agassi opened up about his perspective and the role that God plays in the life of human beings. In his podcast appearance in March 2021, he was asked if he believed in God. Agassi replied, “Absolutely.” He added, when asked if he felt the presence of a higher power in him during his matches, “We don’t have a say in what our talents are.”

Furthermore, he elaborated on his perception of God’s role. He said, “He doesn’t control winning or losing; I don’t believe that he controls how I hit a tennis ball.” Diving a bit deeper into the topic, he said, “I think it’s a process, it’s participation. And if you allow yourself to embrace that, I think it allows you to be the best that you can be.”
