The 20-time Grand Slam champion’s latest match created the same effect when he claimed victory against Jannik Sinner after losing the first two sets. Here’s what Djokovic had to say about such performances.
Novak Djokovic about playing in risky situations
When asked about what goes through his mind while playing with the odds against him, Djokovic said, “As negative and down you feel in yourself in those moments. I think even though as fake as it looks or sounds to you. It really gives you an effect and support if you are trying to find the right answer, positive affirmations and kind of reanimate yourself in a way.”

“So that’s what I have done. I have done after I lost two sets in Roland Garros against Tsitsipas and today it worked. It doesn’t always work. Yeah, just felt like I had to change something.” He added.
On Tuesday Djokovic locked horns with Italian Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Championships and lost the first two sets, 5-7 2-6. However, from his lowest point, the defending champion managed to dominate the rest of the three sets, 6-3 6-2 6-2 and book his spot in the semifinal.
