Rafael Nadal Academy was established in 2016 in Mallorca, Spain. Movistar funded the academy and had Toni Nadal, Rafa’s uncle, as the inaugural director. The 22 Grand Slam title holder has completely changed his training place into a high-performance tennis centre with world-class facilities. It combines tennis and education for their students so that they don’t have to dump one for the other. The initiative includes different training programs to guide young players to become a professional in tennis. Rafa’s initiative witnessed an enormous response over the past years and now it has started to spread its wings across the world.

Here’s what John Paci with their visit to Australia. “We had Joel Figueras come out directly from Spain, the director of coaching over there at the Rafael Nadal Academy. And he hosted a handful of clinics for juniors right through to our high performance players. So just a fantastic insight into the way you know Rafa and all the Spanish players are training at the moment, which was a little bit of an eye opener for some who don’t like to move their feet so much,” via The First Serve podcast on Spotify.

Apart from contributing to the grassroot level, Rafael Nadal is also looking to return to on-court action soon. Unfortunately, the ‘King of Clay’ hasn’t been able to entertain his fans for a while. Fans eagerly waiting for the King’s comeback.
