Rafael Nadal and his recent achievements remind us of the proverb ‘Once a champion, always a champion’. Although he has been the tennis champion for decades and will always be remembered as one, he has captured another sport with his talent. Recently, the 37-year-old tennis star won his debut golf tournament ahead of his tennis comeback.

While the former world number one is all set to step foot on the tennis court once again with the Indian Wells, before that, he took some time off to try his hands at golf. There is more to the story; not only did he play golf professionally, but at the same time, he won the Balearic Mid-Amateur Golf Championship.

Tennis fans were waiting for the 22-time Grand Slam champion to make a return on the ATP tour with the Indian Wells in March. In the meantime, while in Mallorca, Spain, he completed the 2024 Balearic Mid-Amateur Golf Championship, teeing up to be a winner.

Not only did he display his amazing golf skills, but he also became the champion of the tournament. The former world number one won the tournament by 7 strokes, among 75 players who participated in the event.

In addition, he was 3 over for the tournament but ended up in second place with 10 over. Subsequently, the 37-year-old tennis legend finished in first place at the end of day 1 before Jaime Nicholau Olmos and Philip Marc Salva Montulet.

Apart from being an outstanding tennis player, it won’t be wrong to state that he is a true sports-gifted person who has the potential to become a professional golfer. The Spaniard, who previously discussed pulling out of the Qatar Open and disclosed his recent athletic circumstances, was unable to advance past the Brisbane International due to an injury.
