Former British no.1 tennis star Andy Murray showed that he still has some good tennis left in him in his last tournament at the Madrid Open. Although he skipped the French Open and the other clay-court tournaments, his Madrid Open performance will surely motivate him for the latter half of the season. 

Earlier, he decided not to play in the French Open so he could focus on Wimbledon and the grass-court season. Speaking of Wimbledon, Murray recently posted a post on his social media about his preparation for Wimbledon, which was hilarious.

Andy Murray dresses up for Wimbledon in a hilarious post 

On Instagram, the 3-time Grand Slam champion posted a hilarious photo where he was dressed up as a dragon. Additionally, the caption of that post was more hilarious than the actual photo. He wrote, “Preparation for @wimbledon going really well.”

The caption also says,#tennis #dragon #wimbledon #kids.

It is worth mentioning that Andy Murray has four kids; 2 sons and 2 daughters. It seemed like Murray really had to dress up as a dragon to entertain his kids. Certainly, it’s not easy to handle four kids at once. 

Murray’s bittersweet season

Earlier, Murray started the year in great fashion when he reached the final of Sydney International. After that, he didn’t enjoy great success throughout the season so far. Despite that, he is still continuing with his tennis, as he still has a passion for this sport.

Interestingly, Murray appointed his former coach Ivan Lendl while playing the Indian Wells and Miami Open. With Lendl, the Brit achieved a lot of success. Most importantly, he won the US Open in 2012 and the Wimbledon title in 2013 under Lendl. After a short split, they again joined forces together, and Murray again the Wimbledon in 2016 along with the Olympic gold medal. Soon, he attained his career-high ranking, i.e. no.1.

Speaking about his new coach, Murray said, “I’ve had some good results over the last couple of years, but the consistency of them has been poor. I think that’s because the level of the tennis that I’ve been playing is not that high. I trust a lot of what Ivan says. We obviously had excellent results together in the past.”

Since coming back from two hip surgeries, Murray has lacked consistency on the tour. Now, the Wimbledon will be an opportunity to show his grass-court prowess, as he won this tournament 2 times.
