22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has received probably the greatest news of his life, as he will soon become a father. In June, he announced at a press conference in Mallorca that his wife, Mery Xisca Perello, was with their first child.

After withdrawing from the Wimbledon Championships earlier, Nadal went on a holiday with his family and friends. During that holiday, a recent picture surfaced on social media, where we saw Perello with a cute baby bump.

Recently, Colombian singer Sebastian Yatra went to Mallorca for his performance in a show. During his visit, he met Rafael Nadal, and they had a nice family get-together. Earlier, the singer posted a picture on his Instagram story from their lovely family dinner, where we saw Nadal posing for a photo with his wife, and we saw Perello’s baby bump. According to reports, Perello will give birth to a baby boy in October this year. Earlier, she celebrated her 34th birthday, whereas Nadal celebrated his 36th birthday last month. Notably, the pair have been together for 17 years, but Nadal always kept their relationship status private.

Rafael Nadal will be the favorite to win the US Open 2022

Meanwhile, Nadal is currently enjoying his time off from tennis, as he is on a holiday. Earlier at the Wimbledon Championships, he suffered a 7mm tear on his abdominal muscle, which forced him out of the semi-final of the Championships. Recently, we saw him playing in various golf tournaments in Ibiza and Mallorca, as he continues to enjoy his holidays.

Despite the injury concern, Nadal is expected to be fit for the US Open. Moreover, he could appear at the Canadian Open in Montreal. With Novak Djokovic most probably missing the US Open because of the vaccine mandate, Nadal will be the favorite. He last won the US Open in 2019, beating Daniil Medvedev in the final. It will be interesting to see whether he can repeat the same heroics from three years ago.
