In light of all this drama, the American tennis legend, Jimmy Connors has expressed his opinion on the same. The 8-time singles Grand Slam champion recently released another episode of his renowned podcast, ‘Advantage Connors,‘ in which he talked about the Serbian. In this episode, Jimmy Connors brought to light the criticism and condemnation that rained down on Novak Djokovic in the previous season. The American tennis legend further slammed all those naysayers and their contentious views on Djokovic.
Connors also praised the Serbian tennis star for always striving for greatness and success on the court. Speaking about his critics, he said that some people have somehow managed to condemn Djokovic. However, the tennis ace has stood up for his beliefs despite all the controversies. He further praised ‘Djoker’ for showing willingness despite being ostracized from the game.
Later, the former tennis player said that it was brutal as he was also ostracized from various tournaments during his tennis journey. The former tennis ace went on to say that it’s the only way to get even with all those critics and naysayers.

Connors also said that it might make him sound angry while talking about Djokovic’s haters. He said, “You know, I’m not angry. I just know how many of those people that have crapped on him last year and all that are kissing his ass now, all of them.”
Later, he showered praise on the Serbian tennis great for adorning the tennis courts in Melbourne. Apart from Djokovic, Connors also lauded the American tennis prodigy, Ben Shelton, and his antics during the Australian open.
