Federer has amassed an incredible 20 Grand Slam titles over the course of his career, which now stretches more than 20 years. He has made a name for himself not only on the court but also in the world of business. Earlier in one of his interviews, he was seen talking about the future of tennis.

The 41-year-old recently spoke in an interview about how the game has evolved after the retirement of legends. “The game is bright. Sometimes people don’t tend to see that or think that.”

“It was the same thing when Pete (Sampras) and Andre (Agassi) left. They thought, well, what do we have here now? (There were) Novak, Rafa, myself, Murray and Stan. That’s what I always thought,said Federer.

Federer’s most recent competitive tennis match took place at the 2021 Wimbledon Championship. However, after losing in the quarterfinals to Hubert Hurkacz, he injured his knee, which turned out to be a big dent. What this meant was that the former World No. 1 had to stay away from the game for over a year.

Despite his retirement from professional tennis at age 41, Federer has managed to top Forbes’ list of the highest-paid tennis stars. His long injury has left him with no on-court earnings, but the Swiss master’s sponsorship deals and investments set him apart.

Federer made an additional $90 million from off-court endorsement deals with companies like Uniqlo, Credit Suisse, and Rolex. He is also an investor in On, a Swiss manufacturer of athletic footwear. The other tennis players who are on the Forbes list are Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams, and Rafael Nadal.
