Thanks to his consistent attacks, the Briton carries a modest 38-21 record for the season, scripting 6-2 indoors. The British talent landed in Bercy on the back of his biggest career title in Vienna, wherein his prowess on the indoor surface was adequately showcased. A power-packed game and aggressive baseline strategy have been the Brit’s key power-ups in showdowns and lately, they’ve been pivotal to his success. However, his fitness over several rounds remains doubtful, especially when clashing against the likes of Fritz.

None of the two players have had much luck in Bercy, but, Draper’s rhythm on indoor courts can prove fatal to the American’s chances in Paris. While the match-up promises to be thrilling, a superior experience should tip the scales in the fifth seed’s favor.
