Prediction: Zverev to win in three sets
This match has all the ingredients to do deep! Both the players will be keen to get a win in this match and move a step closer to reaching the final. Alexander Zverev reached the final of this tournament in 2020, while Stefanos Tsitsipas reached the SF twice (2022,2023) here. Neither of them has yet managed to win the title at the Paris Masters, but what really keeps the German slightly ahead in this high-octane clash? Well, Zverev is currently ranked 3rd in the world and has a win-loss record of 60-20. Tsitsipas (11) on the other hand has a win-loss record of just 42-21.
So, considering the factor of playing multiple high-stakes matches this season, Zverev must know a way or two more on how to win these types of battles. Especially looking at his record in this tournament, we feel he might get an edge in this match. Now, if we take a look at their playing styles, Stefanos Tsitsipas is an aggressive baseliner who loves hitting powerful groundstroke winners and has a particularly strong forehand. He also has a big serve in his armory which can cause some trouble for the German in this match. Apart from that, Tsitsipas is often seen using his high topspin rate to push his opponents off the court. However, he himself loves coming to the net more often to finish off the points.

Stefanos Tsitsipas’ signature shot is his one-handed backhand but if we take a look at his weaknesses, then it’s surely going to be a high percentage of unforced errors while trying to hit winners. He needs to keep a check on this to seal the deal against a mighty opponent like Zverev. On the other hand, Alexander Zverev is also an aggressive baseliner. He likes to stand far behind the baseline and aims to hit powerful groundstrokes either for winners or to wear down his opponents.
Zverev can generate a lot of power with his backhand and forehand. In fact, his backhand is regarded as one of the best in business in the men’s tour. If we take a look at his incredible serving abilities, Alexander Zverev has hit a total of 711 aces this season and committed just 170 double faults. However, his biggest weak points include his volley and overhead techniques. Are these weaknesses enough to put him ahead of the Greek in this contest? Not really!
