Despite this lopsided record, Wawrinka has managed to secure some memorable victories against Djokovic, including the 2014 Australian Open quarterfinals, the 2015 French Open final, and the 2016 US Open final. Each of these matches showcased Wawrinka’s undeniable talent and ability to rise to the occasion when it matters most.

In a recent interview with The Tennis Letter, Stan was asked about facing Novak on the grass court again after playing against him 26 times. To which he answered, ?Don?t tell me the score?.

His response meant that the does know that his record so far has been bad and he does not want to be reminded of the same. He probably wants to focus on the future match and see where it takes him.

Stand further talks about hoping not to be killed by Novak

In the same interview, Stan was asked that in the past 26 times, he has only played against Novak on a clay court. And this will be the first time that he will be playing on a grass court against Djokovic. Further, the interviewer also asks if playing on a grass court is going to make a difference.

To which, Stand replied in a fun way that he would find the match enjoyable if he does not get killed in the match against Novak. As the third-round clash at Wimbledon between Wawrinka and Djokovic approaches, fans can expect an intense battle between two of the sport’s most talented players. While their head-to-head record may not favor Wawrinka, his previous victories against Djokovic in high-stakes matches serve as a reminder of his potential to upset the world number one.
