The year 2023 is getting tougher as it goes on for the Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios. The 27-year-old had to undergo a knee injury and was forced to withdraw from his home Grand Slam event, the Australian Open. After back-to-back withdrawals from premium tournaments, Kyrgios revealed that a comeback isn’t far away. He is trying to keep his health as a top priority for upcoming tournaments. Last week, he posted an Instagram story that clearly hints that he is sweating it out during the practice sessions.

Nick Kyrgios teases his fans of a comeback

Kyrgios has been desperately awaiting to start his year on the court since October 2022. It is certainly no secret that clay courts are the least favorite of the Aussie. Recently, Nick Kyrgios uploaded an intriguing post on Instagram that truly depicts that Kyrgios is going through difficult times. In addition, he came up with an intense caption promising his fans to make a comeback on the court soon.

Kyrgios’ girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi, who is a Sydney-based style blogger, has been the biggest support system for the player. In January, she revealed to the Daily Mail that she believes Kyrgios can continue to play at the highest level for a much longer time after he recovers from his awful injury phase. She said, “I love watching him play and so do so many other people so I don’t think it’s the end right now.”

Kyrgios opened up about his participation in the 2023 French Open

Last year, the seven-time title winner disclosed that his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi wanted to ‘see Paris’ and they both will visit the country for the 2023 French Open. He said, “Next year I am going to go to Paris. I’m announcing that now, I’m going to the French Open. I haven’t played that in four years so I’ll be back next year. My girlfriend just wants to see Paris. I mean, I’ll play the French Open as well.”

Kyrgios is eyeing a comeback after skipping the Monte Carlo Masters. However, considering his poor injury record of late, it is yet to be seen whether Kyrgios stays true to his words. The 2022 Wimbledon finalist’s fans are standing behind him and hoping for a speedy recovery and look forward to see him back on fire this year.
