The 24-year-long career of Roger Federer has come to an end. Federer played his last ATP match at the Laver Cup. The Swiss maestro played doubles in his farewell match alongside Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who eventually lost to Team World?s Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock. Despite taking the first set, Team Europe lost the second set in a tiebreaker, before losing 11-9 in the decider.?

The 20-time Grand Slam champion leaves the sport as a tennis legend, who spent 310 weeks at the world number one position, in addition to 103 ATP singles titles throughout his illustrious career. Recently, messages for the tennis great flooded social media, thanking and applauding him for what he achieved.?

Nick Kyrgios’ hilarious reaction to Novak Djokovic

Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios took to his Instagram account to share a farewell post for Federer on the occasion of his final match. The picture had the Big 3 in the frame. It was a picture with various emotions. It had?Roger Federer and?Rafael Nadal shedding tears, and Novak Djokovic standing behind the 20-time grand slam champion, smiling.?

The 27-year-old wrote along the picture ?Goodbye King? for the tennis legend, but also expressed his hilarious reaction upon seeing that picture. He wrote, ?Novak knows chances for slams are better now. Rafa is shattered.??

Djokovic currently has one Grand Slam title more than Federer. However, the?US Open quarter-finalist made fun of the 21-time champion, saying that he might have more chances to win now that Federer is retiring. And on the other hand, Nadal looked devastated as his good friend and rival said goodbye to the sport.

Kyrgios faced Federer in?three editions of the Laver Cup. Notably, Kyrgios won their first-ever meeting in 2015. However, Federer went on to win all of the next six meetings between them.?
