There have been many instances, when Jelena Djokovic has accompanied her husband, the World No.5, Novak Djokovic, in various important matches. However, Jelena was not present in Melbourne, but that didn’t stop her from supporting her childhood sweetheart, as he aimed for his 10th Australian Open. Jelena was following the Serbian Ace’s every volley, slice, lob, and drop shot, as he got the better of the Greek tennis star, Stefanos Tsitsipas.
After a 3-set thriller, the former World No.1 emerged victorious. And right after his victory, his wife shared the heartfelt moment of Novak celebrating with his team on Instagram.

It must have been difficult to not be able to physically celebrate and support her husband on his record 10th Australian Open win. However, Jelena, from their home, celebrated the hard-fought victory of the former World No 1. She took to Instagram, sharing the heartfelt moment of Novak winning, and his team celebrating the win. Jelena gratefully, “thanked God” as she also celebrated Djokovic’s hard-earned victory; which was more special after last year’s debacle.
And what followed after that surprised everyone, as the Serbian ace got emotional. The 10-time Australian Open champion, while celebrating his win with his family and team; shed a few tears, celebrating his win on the hard courts of Melbourne. And with this win, Novak Djokovic equals the record for most Grand Slam titles won, 22; with his other Big 3 rival, Rafael Nadal.

It was a sensational battle between the now 22-time Grand Slam champion and the Greek tennis star eyeing his 1st Grand Slam. Although in the end, the Serb claimed his 10th season-opening title, as his experience helped him through the finale; with Tsitsipas posing a tough challenge, making the then 9-time Australian Open champion fight for every point.
