World no.2 Novak Djokovic recently won a record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title that made a buzz around the whole world. He has said that he wouldn’t be playing any tennis tournament until Wimbledon as he wanted some time to rest and be rejuvenated for Wimbledon after a well-deserved win at the French Open. Thus, Novak Djokovic has kept himself away from playing in any of the grass-court tournaments leading up to the championships.
Recently, Djokovic made a trip to Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal with his wife, Jelena Djokovic, to spend some quality time together. The destination was also Jelena Djokovic’s birthday wish. From their social media posts, one could easily infer that Djokovic and Jelena Djokovic made the most of their time together.

Djokovic is holidaying in Portugal and has not participated in any tournament leading up to Wimbledon. While he needed rest after his excellent exploits at the French Open, one would think that he is also missing some much-needed practice. But we never know with Novak Djokovic. When everyone gave him no chance of winning the French Open given his poor form ahead of the tournament, he made a mockery of everyone’s predictions and won the Open in style.
The caliber of the 23-time Slam champion is stunning and is second to none. So even if he comes directly into the tournament without any practice it may not prove detrimental to him. Djokovic is playing some phenomenal tennis at a level, the world has possibly never seen before. So Jelena Djokovic would be hoping her husband lays his hands on the coveted Wimbledon trophy for the eighth time.
