As the tennis season comes to an end, speculations of the Australian Open have already begun. Djokovic is the favorite of Gill Gross, as he talked about the Serbinator on the Monday Match Analysis podcast. Per him, he is unbeatable if he plays well, and his current performance points to all signs that he will be dominant in the Aussie slam.

His performance reminded Gross of the time Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal in the 2019 Australian Open and Daniil Medvedev in 2021. The tennis analyst confidently addressed his belief in the 24-time grand slam winner’s skills on the court.

This allowed Gill Gross to recall the massive performance put forth by Novak Djokovic on Australian court. He said, “And it certainly looked that way in this final. A performance that reminded me of when he played Nadal in the Australian Open final in 2019. Maybe a couple years later when he played Medvedev in the Australian Open final in 2021.”

He further added that Djokovic’s display showed that he wasn’t competing anymore and was enjoying the sport. “These displays of tennis where it’s not even really the competition of the match that you’re enjoying. It’s just being impressed point in and point out by the level of execution that you’re seeing.”
