These two tennis legends haven’t spoken to each other since the Swiss Maestro’s retirement, according to ‘The Nole’. A few days back, during his post-match conversation with interviewer Jim Courier, the 22-time Grand Slam champion talked about his relationship with the former world number one off the tennis court. Talking about their friendship he said, “Our relationship hasn’t developed.”
During the interview, the Serb used this opportunity and shared a message while talking about their relationship with each other. He added, “Our relationship hasn’t developed in that sense, but regardless, I feel respect and admiration towards Roger, and gratitude, of course, because of everything he has done for tennis.”
The last time they both had an off-court conversation was almost 3 months back in September when the Swiss Maestro played his last match at the Laver Cup. However, maybe the relationship is unique in terms of having regular conversations, but when it comes to supporting each other, both are quite open.
